The model will build a locomotive and tender from a series of twelve 2-4-0s with 1200 gallon capacity four wheel tenders built by Sharp Stewart for the Cambrian or Cambrian constituents in 1863-5. This model represents the version as rebuilt during the Aston era of the mid 1890’s.

Twelve 2-4-0s were built by Sharp Stewart for the Cambrian or Cambrian constituents in 1863-5, Six locos of this type were taken over by the GWR (two of them having by then been converted to side tanks) however none survived to carry a GWR number.
By 1888 new boilers were needed, and were ordered from R. Stephenson & Co., Sharp, Stewart & Co., and Nasmyth, Wilson & Co. These were constructed of mild steel with copper fireboxes. The re-boilering dates are in the last column of the Table 4 below.

Nos.41, 43, 53 and 55 were allocated G.W. Nos. 1330-3 which were never carried.
Side tank conversions 44 & 56 became GWR 1190 and 1191, again never carried.
